Biotelemetry receivers in the Tagus estuary

Receivers deployed along the Tagus estuary and adjacent coastal areas.

During the month of May 2019, an array of acoustic biotelemetry receivers were deployed along the Tagus estuary and adjacent Coastal areas by MARE researchers. This receivers will detect movements of adult and juvenile meagre tagged with acoustic transmitters. Adult meagre congregate inside the Tagus estuary to spawn while juveniles use this system as nursery area.
