Under the ATLAZUL project (Ref.: 0755_ATLAZUL_6_E), funded by the Interreg POCTEP program (2014-2020), a network of acoustic biotelemetry receivers will be installed in the Marine Park of “Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina”, covering part of the Alentejo coast extension during spring-summer of 2022. This action will integrate the “Portuguese Tracking Network” that is being implemented and managed through the CoastNet infrastructure. This action aims to monitor the movements of fish species with economic interest or considered priority at conservation level. The CoastNet infrastructure is represented in the consortium of institutions that make up the project implementation team through the MARE pole of the University of Évora.
