CoastNet is composed by a strong multidisciplinary team of MARE researchers, with a large experience and strong background in coastal and transitional water ecosystems. Their work spans a great diversity of expertise areas, which combined will ensure the successful implementation and the proper functioning of this Research Infrastructure.
MARE pursues excellence in the study of aquatic ecosystems and disseminates this knowledge in support of human progress and sustainable development policies. This is achieved through collaborative networks developed at both national and international levels, focusing on scientific research, education, knowledge and technology transfer, and science dissemination.
The mission of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon is to expand the limits of science and technology, transfer scientific knowledge into society, and promote research-based student education.
